the following judges this year

Annette Raff

Royal Queensland Art Society Judge, art practitioner and teacher for the past 27 years with 3 Artist-In-Residences..  Her latest work continues to evolve, reflecting a fusion of both recognizable and abstract imagery. Annette enjoys working with a variety of mixed media, including collage, monotype, drawing, and acrylic and oil painting. Annette's work has received numerous awards for her artwork in local, national and international art exhibitions.

Pat Hall

Multi-award winning watercolourist, currently exhibited at Lethbridge Gallery, Watershed Gallery and Traffic Jam Galleries - Neutral Bay. Pat specialises with stretched paper canvases with bold paintings inspired by the textures, colours and dazzling sunlight of Australian gardens and bushland.

Dr Bill Platz

An American-Australian artist, teacher and researcher with a disciplinary focus on drawing and research concentrations in life drawing, portraiture and pedagogies of drawing. Dr Platz is currently Head of Drawing at Queensland College of Art and Design (Griffith Uni). He previously served as Deputy Head of School (Director of Research and Postgrad), Program Director of Fine Art; Foundations Coordinator for Fine Art and Photography; and Higher Degree Research Convenor. His most recent solo show was the exhibition School of the Living and the Dead at Grafton Regional Gallery.

Bring In Work:           Tuesday, 3rd September, 2024 - 10am to 2pm

Curation:                    Wednesday, 4th September 2024

Opening Night:          Thursday, 5th September, 2024 - 6pm to 8pm

Public Viewing:           September Friday 6th - 10am to 6pm

                                     Saturday 7th, 2024 - 9am to 4pm

                                     Sunday 8th, 2024 - 9am to 3pm
Collection of Work:   Sunday 8th September, 2024 - 3pm

How to Submit Your Artwork:

To participate in the exhibition, please follow the steps below to complete the submission process.

1. Review the Conditions of Entry:

Before submitting your artwork, please read the Conditions of Entry document to ensure you meet all requirements for the exhibition.

2. Follow the Framing Guidelines:

Proper framing is essential for all submitted artworks. Please refer to our Framing Guidelines to ensure your work is appropriately prepared.

3. Entry Closed for 2024:

Entry into the 2024 Exhibition of Watercolours has now closed.  Entry for 2025 will open early July 2025.
